I am pleased to announce the publication of the second edition of my book Copyright: Cases and Commentary on the Canadian and International Law. The casebook, co-authored with Steve Mason and Osgoode Hall Law School Professor Carys Craig, is published by Carswell.
The new edition updates the text to include important developments in the law from the Supreme Court copyright pentalogy and amendments made by the Copyright Modernization Act. The text also includes other developments in the law including significant decisions from other courts in Canada, the US and Commonwealth countries.
The new copyright casebook compliments the Carswell series of intellectual property casebooks including Intellectual Property Law in Canada: Cases and Commentary, Second Edition also authored by me with Steve Mason and Dan Glover, and Trade-marks and Unfair Competition Law in Canada written by Professors Bita Amani and Carys Craig. It is also a good introduction to my much more comprehensive six volume treatise on Computer, Internet and Electronic Commerce Law which has almost an entire volume on copyright law as it relates to digital copyright issues.
